Sara
I have created a new AJ book cover for an upcoming S&S event/challenge.
All images are Smeared Ink digital pages so this fits my DT rulz.

In the dead of winter many can go quite mad, insane, or just plain crazy.
This art journal will be a tribute to all those wonderful creatures born and thriving during this special time of year.
"Winter is coming", and now, "Winter is here".

Snowfall of Deets

I adjusted 3 different Smeared Ink digital papers in my Picasso software.
Printed each separately onto the same Whisper White cards stock overlaying each other.

Smeared Ink Digital Papers Used:
Icy
Cranium
Poe Boy

Chose a font for the saying "Winter is here.", changed to red and printed once more.

Finished page was then adhered onto the front of a old workbook from one of the kids.
Am going to Gesso pages and let dry this week to get ready for challenge, Kickstart Your Art.

Thanks everyone!  Have fun hopping today.

Day 10-31 Days

DAY 10 - 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN 2014

You may have just arrived from the creepster Wicked Blogger Kapree and are now here at Shoni / Crafty Inknik.  The next boo-licious blog is Altered Pages.

I hope you all are having as much fun as I am so far.  Amazing projects and just love the warped minds and creativity from my fellow Wicked Bloggers.  The roll is to the left ( <--------- )  and please keep those awesome comments coming.

Today is Smeared Ink Friday!  So all stamps are by Smeared Ink.

One of the best things about this month is the opportunity to watch all your favorite scarey movies either on TV or from the local rental store.  Which, I was in last night and saw a movie I had never seen before in the Horror Section.  I immediately had to rent.  Here's the movie cover:

A Load Full of Details

Smeared Ink image is from the digital set called Babies of the Damned.  Printed onto Whisper White card stock.  Colored in with Copic's, fussy cut, Crystal Effects on all, and sponged around edges with black ink.

Background is a digital paper from the Smeared Ink set called Icy Digital Paper Pack.  Altered the color in Picasso and printed out onto copy paper.

Brain pacifiers are also in the Babies of the Damned set.  Copied image and put into a Word format.  Rotated images and then printed out over the altered background.  Finished printed page was trimmed to size of cover for DVD case.

Title and tagline, "And you thought their diapers were dangerous.", were written in font AR Darling and printed out onto copy paper.
Gone over with markers and inks to grunge up a bit.

DVD case is mine and who knows where the movie is...
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! (SU!) unless otherwise noted.

ASiD#4 and HDH-666

So many FREAKY FUN challenges going on right now people!
I have not decided exactly what I want to do with this page...maybe a nursery rhyme/song book gone wrong, maybe a fun little calender, or just a book to do with animals on the dark side...hummm so many fab possibilities!

I am going to enter this lovely little lamb into A Step In The Dark who has a their Challenge #4 - Anything Goes or Zombie theme if you need some direction.

Over ripe lambkin is also going to have a go over at Haunted Design House Macabre Monday Challenge Blog.  They have an challenge that the devil himself would love, 666 - The Number of The Beasts.

The internet never ceases to amaze me.  I wanted a zombie lamb poem or rhyme and so by the power of GOOGLE, I found this lovely little ditty that fit PERFECT with my lively morbid piece of dead fluff.  Poem is below picture and click on the name to take you this poets blog.

Mary Had a Little Lamb

Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece not white you know;
Cause everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb was sure to go.

And so much worse than any dream,
She took it into school;
It made the children cry and scream,
To see this lamb so cruel.

The teacher tried to put it out,
But lamb did eat her hand,
As blood did fall, the kids did shout,
But Mary took a stand.

“Why does the lamb eat teacher's flesh?”
The little students cried.
"A Zombie Lamb needs meat that's fresh,"
She said as teacher died.

Bloody Chops and Deets

Image is from Odd Ball Art Stamp Co.
It was printed out onto Whisper White card stock.
Blendabilities and markers to color in.
Fussy cut and adhered to background.
Crystal Effects over eyes, heart, stitches, and hooves.

Poem by Blaze McRob was printed out on copy paper.
Background is a digital paper from the Smeared Ink set called Cranium.  I did alter the color match my coloring on lamb-ie.

Base is Whisper White card stock and all edges are roughed up.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

Weekly Smeared Ink DT Project and Quoth the Raven, Nevermore Challenge #27

Christmas week was super busy and had to only minutes to keep adding and trying to finish projects.  Got a good hour in today and finished up my Smeared Ink Weekly Design Team project, which only uses Smeared Ink images/stamps and have had Quoth the Raven, Nevermore Challenge on my brain.  So I combined the two and sooo happy with how it turned out.

My oldest son has been into Origami lately, and when I saw the QTR Challenge #27 - Ho Ho Poe - Merry Christmas, I knew what I wanted to attempt.  I asked him to find a raven looking bird, which he did, made, and then showed me how to make.  In my 3D Banner project I used one he made and the one I made.

I tried some different letter dies, but did not like how they turned out, so ended up just drawing my own and cutting them out.  Edges are suppose to be uneven and rough.  Have I mentioned how much I love the  new digital papers from Smeared Ink??  Well I do and this new set, Poe Boy is AWESOME!!  Alright enough out of me until the deets.....

Non Dreary Deets
Letters were done in Basic Black card stock and had drew with pencil.  Cut out.  Used over printed images and traced.  Papers for printed images from Smeared Ink are Scratched and Raven Pattern from the new Poe Boy digital paper set.  Cut and adhere to cut black letters.

Ravens were from random paper then folded.
I used Black Gesso over most of the main areas.  Let dry.
Sprayed with mixture of Basic Black ink and alcohol to get the parts missed with Gesso.  Let dry.
Spritzed over each with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

Embellies are from Stampin' Up!, Stitched Felt Winter Wishes (retired).
Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim Ribbon (retired) for bow.
Fishing wire/line to hold the banner together.
All materials used are Stampin' Up! and are current unless otherwise noted.
