Okay so officially it's almost Day 2 of the new Kickstart Your Art week long challenge, but you have 24 hours to get your art journal page in and I am down to the nitty gritty this morning.
Day 1 KYA challenge is Layers. I have got plenty on this page and was very happy with the way it has turned out.
Left of Center also has their Challenge #62 - Layer it Up which this page will be entered into.
Have both digital and rubber stamps on this page along with layers of papers and paints.
Full On Toxic Details
Ladies are from the Smeared Ink Digital set called Toxic Ballerinas. Image was printed out onto Very Vanilla card stock. Colored in with markers. Crystal Effects over eyes. They were fussy cut and then adhered to another piece of Very Vanilla card stock that I had already used acrylic paints on.
Layer below ballerinas was placed onto gelli plate, then gone over with reds and paint brush. Wanted to bring out the veins on each of the ballerinas.
Washi tape was also placed along center before ballerinas were adhered.
Tore along all edges and adhered this layer to my journal page.
Base layer of page is what I made for my Winter is Here project...found HERE.
Used a variety of blue acrylic inks, spray inks, stencils, sponges, and various nick-nacks to make patterns. Other colors of acrylic inks were added to enhance the pages I was working on.
Once each layer was adhered down, I used the back ground stamps Heads (Daniel Torrente) and French Filigree (retired SU!) with inks randomly on page.
A creative and crafty place to share unique, alternative, and altered projects using rubber / digital stamps and inks.

NO FLASH
Smeared Ink Rubber Club Stamp Sets:
Chicks Dig Guns (November 2013)
Prints (March 2013)
Gorey Details stamp:
Steampunk Gun
Main granny is printed onto printer paper. Found image online and is from the 1940's movie, "Granny Get Your Gun". She is fussy cut and is the star of this page, as in the movie.
Background - I used an Aqua Painter to make my drips in the background with Crushed Curry, Real Red, and Pacific Point inks.
The other gun totin' ladies are stamped with Smoky Grey, not to steal the scene from my main granny.
Shells are stamped with Gold Encore ink randomly all over page.
All other stamped images are in the 3 primary colors.
Hand written saying on the right side is written with a red Sharpie.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
