ATC's

The ATC's are each printed out onto Whisper White card stock.
Each has a bit of fussy cut or torn edges.
Each was colored in with color pencils, markers, inks, Blender Pen and Aqua Painter.

Base of each ATC is different colors of blue card stock.
On the upper right and lower left ATC's there is an extra layer of backgrounds that were made with acrylic paints and home made gelli plate.

Smeared Ink Rubber Club stamps used were from sets:
Dedicated to Art (Dec 2013)
Danse Macabre (Jan 2014)
Nymphs (Feb 2014)
Each of these sets can be viewed in the Rubber Club Past Offerings area.

Close up of Center ATC shows the Ranger Distress Crackle Paint, Clear Rock Candy, which is
covering each ATC.
A circle template was also used for this center background with sponge and ink.

Top right and lower left ATC's have punched chain card stock.  Punch is by EK.

November Smeared and Smudged Forum Challenges

Wow, Thanksgiving was here and gone!  We had a great time seeing both sides of the family and I hope that you all had a great week/day as well.

This post is going to have 3 different challenges that the Smeared and Smudged Forum offers each month.  Each challenge is a month long, so please go check them out.

Starting this month the Forum will also offer an Anything Goes Challenge.  I will have a separate post to let you know all the new and fun stuff going on over the Smeared and Smudged Forum.

Also, Smeared Ink is offering a wonderful discount of 25% off all digi stamps and papers, use coupon code CYBERMON2013 AT CHECKOUT today for Cyber Monday!!

First up is the Freaky Freebie Challenge.  This challenge allows us to use one of Smeared Ink's wonderful digi stamps in our projects.
This image is called Hand of St. Nick.  He is such a giver!
An ATC I am offering.  Image was printed out onto copy paper.  Markers and Blender Pen used to color in.  Crystal Effects on hand, bow, and headstone.  Candy dots in corners.

Next we have the Junk Funk Challenge.  The junk or recycled item was Halloween Leftovers.

I have always wanted to make a buggy wreath and so did with some left over creepy crawlies that I did not manage to use in the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop.  The wreath I also got and was going to alter, but again did not have a chance.
Picture is of wreath before I dismembered it.  Image and saying were both stamped with Early Espresso ink on Whisper White card stock, and sprayed with Melted Chocolate Dylusions Ink Spray.
Stamp is from a Smeared Ink Rubber Club past offerings stamp set, Quoth the Raven (February 2013).
Letter is saying from retired SU! stamp set, Alphabet Lower (2002).
Crystal Effects over entire skull and letters.

The third and final project is for the Rock N' Rolla Challenge.  The Rolling Stones- Doom and gloom was the song/video that we had to take inspiration from.
This is going to be the cover of my Art Journal.  So happy to have a great group, Art Journal Everyday and a new Mixed Media University to help me expand my learning.  The Smeared and Smudged Forum seems to offer something for everyone!
Base is a study piece of cardboard.  Images are stamped onto Whisper White card stock and then adhered to base.  I did use Crystal Effects on all edges.
Also around edges an on bomb clouds to highlight is Silver Inka Gold Metallic Rub.
Rock Candy Distress Crackle is on finger nail and randomly.
Marker used for bomb cloud and to help define finger.
As Death (October 2012) is a past offering from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club.  The image from this set is in the lower left corner, the dancing skellie and demon lady.
Hard to see stamped images:
3 Smiles and Tree - both from Daniel Torrente at Stampotique Originals.
Netting (background) and sploches (Gorgeous Grunge) - current Stampin' Up!
Kiss, S.W.A.K., burst behind demon lady (Affection Collection) and question mark - retired SU!
Retired hinges and brads from SU! for the hardware.
All materials used are Stampin' Up! and are current unless otherwise noted.

31 DOH - Day 22

Roni just gave us another fab project and Jenn has something wonderful next.  You are now at Shoni aka Crafty Inknik's Blog.
DAY 22 of the 31 Days of Halloween event, hosted by Smeared Ink and the Smeared and Smudged Forum.  To find out who the daily winners are click HERE, also Terra's Blog.  She is the first one on the Wicked Blogger List located to your left.

The Smeared and Smudged Forum has a place to Swap.  I have gotten myself in trouble and burning the 3:00 am oil because I signed up for 1 too many.  So, having learned my lesson, I only do 2 a month.  What is great is that this is an ATC swap, which I do not do that many of.

This month was a Monochromatic Color Challenge using Halloween colors.  I chose shades of orange.

Daunting Details
I used ink pad directly onto watercolor paper, Apricot Appeal (retired).  Then went over with Aqua Painter to spread out the ink.
Face images are from the Prints (March 2013) set from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club past offerings.  They are stamped in Tangerine Tango, then Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder over each image and heat set.
Finger smears are also a stamp from the Prints set.  They are stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink.
I used the Cajun Craze marker to write "Spirits are out tonight".
Saying is stamped with Cajun Craze ink and is from Creepy Lil' Grumpies (September 2013) Smeared Ink Rubber Club.
Edges are inked with Pumpkin Pie ink.

Paper layers are:
Pumpkin Pie DP (retired), Tangerine Tango card stock, Peach Parfait card stock (retired).
All materials used are Stampin' Up! and are current unless otherwise noted.

31 DOH - Day 13

Day #13 of the 31 Days of Halloween event, held by Smeared Ink and the Smeared and Smudged Forum.  To start from the beginning, see daily winners, and for more info check out Terra's Blog.

You are now here at Shoni aka Crafty Inknik's and should have just left Roni's blog.  Jenn is next on the Wicked Blogger list, that is on your left if you just joined us.

To answer a question from yesterday's post - Susan, I spritzed the back of the card stock with water to make more pliable.  So when I stuck it on the mask it was easier to form to the mask.  I think it is finally dry today!

Today I have and ATC.  It uses on the stamps from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club set Morte, drawn by Rick St. Dennis.  The dark side, fun, and lucky 13 is what this month is about.

Sinful Deets
I placed the background die cut piece over Very Vanilla card stock and spritzed with Glimmer Mist Alaskan Salmon and Dylusions Cut Grass Ink Spray.
Took off die cut and used part of it for the background.  Adhered it to Basic Black backing.
Image stamped on with Black Staze On ink, colored in with markers, and then fussy cut and adhered.
"Welcome Baby" is stamped in Black Staze On and is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Something to Celebrate.
I wrote the top saying with a black Sharpie.
Hard to see, but the cross and die have Gold marker on them.
I used clear micro beads and Crystal Effects over the main skull.
All materials are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

Smeared Ink Forum Swap and Left Of Center Challenge 14

Well hello everyone!  End of the month is near and my room is almost done.  I am so happy to be able to get some challenges done.  This is also in prep for the upcoming 31 Days of Halloween 5.  I will post more info on Thursday so that you can really get ready for this awesome event.

I joined, for the first time, in an ATC swap hosted by the Smeared Ink Forum.  They do so much over there!  The September theme was Time.  Use of gears, clocks, and watches in your ATC is the main goal.  I can not wait for next week when I get to open my mailbox and see a package full of others wonderful talent.  AND I get to see them in real life.

Left of Center Challenge Blog has a challenge right now that is NO DP, Challenge 14.  You can not use any designer paper in your project.

I had a great time making this ATC and hope you find some inspiration from it as well.
Deets
I started with Very Vanilla card stock, 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".
Versa Marked, inked, large back ground clock stamp.  Clear Embossing Powder over stamped image and heat set.
Inks were sponged on.
I used a punch for the cogs and did not punch all the way through, just to give a little more dimension and texture.
Background images were then stamped with slightly darker inks.
Bird images were stamped with Mustard Staze On.
I used a template for the darker blue spots in the upper right area.
Some gears are stamped with Silver Encore ink.
A 1" punch was used on the upper circle clock and a mini brad placed in center.
Saying is stamped with Black Staze On.
Rhinestone Jewels, mini brads, and a silver metal swirl paperclip from stash, are the embellishments.
I roughed up the edges and adhered to Midnight Muse card stock, with dimensionals.
Gold Shimmer Spritz over entire ATC.

Stamps Used from Stampin' Up!
Clockworks
Serene Silhouettes
Favorite Thoughts (retired SU!)
Sense of Time (retired SU!)
Print Pattern (retired SU!)

All materials used are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

Smudgefest Day 4 & Smudgy Antics Challenges

Smeared Ink offers so many creative and fun challenges.  I hope that everyone is enjoying this weeks Smudgefest and the challenges on Smudgy Antics and the Smeared and Smudged Forum.  If you have not already checkout out these challenges, DO IT!

I woke up in a bossy mood this morning and it was unleashed in my entry today for:
Smudgefest Day 4 - Twisted Thusday
Make an ATC with a "twist"  You can interpret "twist" any way you want to.  ATC size: 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Smudgy Antics - Use Fussy Cutting in your project.  A portion of your project must be fussy cut by hand.

I have a lot of pictures for this ATC, so keep scrolling to get to the deets.
My twists on this are:
1.   Responsible, plain lady by day and crazy, uninhibited woman by night.
2.  I have a fussy cut images on one side of ATC and tag.  Sayings on other side of ATC and tag.  You have to "twist" each to see the other side.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT

The Unleashed Deets
I used stamps from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club, Femdom - January 2013.  Each was stamped with Black Staze On onto the Designer Paper (DP) and Shimmery White card stock.

I added a small magnet to the back of main image before adhering to front of ATC.  I had a magnetic doll kit that I found at the Dollar Store and used one of the dresses in there for her "day" outfit.

Dimensionals were used to make the pocket on the ATC.

I added Crystal Effects to the image on tag so that it would not catch when sliding from pocket.

Ribbon is Crochet Lace.

Words written in a black Sharpie and gone over with marker on tag.

All materials used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
DP - Etcetera (ATC) and Mixed Medley (tag)

Howlin' ATC

Artist's Trading Cards (ATC) are small, yet say a lot.  They are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" in size and can be made from anything that you can imagine.
I have found Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge and am going to try to do this at least once a month.  They have great challenges and so many creative people on their team.
Check it out and or give it try.

I love old monster movies and the posters that were created for them are great.  So this ATC was inspired from one of those.

Here is my entry for the challenge #75 Show Us Your Fangs, Howlin':
THE DEETS:
Inkadinkado stamps for wolfman and moon from a set called Werewolf Mini, and damsel from Vampire Night and stamped on card stock with Black Staze On.
Tree images are from Stampin' Up! from the stamp set Spooky Bingo Bits.
Saying is printed out from an old movie image found on Google and gone over with inks and White Get Pen.
All inks and other materials used are from Stampin' Up!
I sponged in background and used Crystal Effects on moon, eyes, and fangs.
Hard to see but I did spritz entire ATC with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch.
