Smudgefest Day 4 & Smudgy Antics Challenges

Smeared Ink offers so many creative and fun challenges.  I hope that everyone is enjoying this weeks Smudgefest and the challenges on Smudgy Antics and the Smeared and Smudged Forum.  If you have not already checkout out these challenges, DO IT!

I woke up in a bossy mood this morning and it was unleashed in my entry today for:
Smudgefest Day 4 - Twisted Thusday
Make an ATC with a "twist"  You can interpret "twist" any way you want to.  ATC size: 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Smudgy Antics - Use Fussy Cutting in your project.  A portion of your project must be fussy cut by hand.

I have a lot of pictures for this ATC, so keep scrolling to get to the deets.
My twists on this are:
1.   Responsible, plain lady by day and crazy, uninhibited woman by night.
2.  I have a fussy cut images on one side of ATC and tag.  Sayings on other side of ATC and tag.  You have to "twist" each to see the other side.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT

The Unleashed Deets
I used stamps from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club, Femdom - January 2013.  Each was stamped with Black Staze On onto the Designer Paper (DP) and Shimmery White card stock.

I added a small magnet to the back of main image before adhering to front of ATC.  I had a magnetic doll kit that I found at the Dollar Store and used one of the dresses in there for her "day" outfit.

Dimensionals were used to make the pocket on the ATC.

I added Crystal Effects to the image on tag so that it would not catch when sliding from pocket.

Ribbon is Crochet Lace.

Words written in a black Sharpie and gone over with marker on tag.

All materials used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
DP - Etcetera (ATC) and Mixed Medley (tag)

Left Of Center and Smudgy Antics Challenges

I was not sure if I would make the closing time on the Left Of Center Creative Challenges blog, but Yes (!), it does not close for another day.  And I am also in time to get one more in on the Smudgy Antics blog, {sigh}.

I had this image printed out and somewhat colored, then got side tracked with moving, Smudgefest, and   laundry...always laundry.  Anyhooo...got it finished.

Left Of Center Challenge #11 - Creepmas in July or any LOC theme

Smudgy Antics - Use Fussy Cutting in project

There are so many wonderful entries and projects by the Design Teams in each challenge that if you got a minute you've got to check them out.

Even goth girls enjoy Christmas.  My gal is writing her wish list to Santa.  I have fussy cut her body, her head (2x), and her list (2x).  First picture is a straight on shot, and the second is one from the side so you can see the fussy cutting.

Details, Details

Digital Stamp is from Pur Imagination/Lacy Sunshine.  Click HERE for link, you may have to scroll down a bit, she is called Abby Love Letters.  Hard to see, but I used a fine tip black Sharpie to change the letter on her letter to Dear Santa.

I used a Blender Pen and Stampin' Up! inks to color her in.  An Aqua Painter was used around all sides with Basic Gray ink.

She is printed out on copy paper 4 times, then colored and fussy cut.
Layers are adhered with dimensionals.

Other stamps are from Stampin' Up! sets Christmas Lodge - greens, and More Merry Messages - sentiment.

The jewel and skull eyes is Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.  Her dress filling also has Dazzling Details on it.

Feather is from Hobby Lobby.

I did use an Embossing Folder, Plenty Petals on the Basic Black card stock card base.

Smeared Ink Forum & Smudgy Antics Challenges

On the Smeared Ink Forum there is a great Oh! The Horror!! challenge going on all month.  The other challenge is from Smudgy Antics and ends in 4 days!  Get out those stamps and inks and join in.

Oh! The Horror!! - Black, White, & Green OR Yellow (not both just one of the colors).  The inspiration to be from the movie Bettlejuice.

Smudgy Antics -  Use Fussy Cutting in your project.

I have made a bookmark with these challenges in mind.  My main inspiration for this project was the character Lydia Deetz.  I used the colors black, white, and green and fussy cut my main gal.

The first photo (below) is taken in natural light on one side.  The second (below on right) is with the flash of the camera on the other side so you can see the background stamping a little better.

Lydia Deetz
I used a great stamp from Stampotique called Kamona, by Daniel Torrente, for my main gal.  She is stamped in Black Staze On on Whisper White card stock 4-5 times.  I fussy cut head, hair, body, hands, and shoes.  She is colored in with a Blender Pen and the inks Pistachio Pudding and Always Artichoke.

Background
I used the quote, "I, myself, am strange and unusual.", that Lydia used in the movie.  I changed the font to Gigi and printed out on copy paper.
I added stamped images from the Stampin' Up! set Glorious Grunge and used the two green inks from before.

Finishing Touches
Kamona was again stamped in middle with Black Staze On.  Fussy cut layers were added.
I used a black fine tip Sharpie to make the hair longer to resemble Bettlejuice on her shirt.
Layered the card stock and added ribbon.  I put a beetle and coffin as accessories - both are not Stampin' Up!.
Crystal Effects was used on both main gal images.
