And on to Day 2 of 31 Days of Halloween.  Thanks to our hosts Smeared Ink and Smeared and Smudged for organizing and some fab prizes.  For more info about 31 Days, prizes, and Sponsors please click on DAY 1 and DAY 2, thanks!

Don't forget that you can win daily prizes by going through the Wicked Bloggers (on <----- left side) and find a different hidden image each day on different blogs.  Click HERE to find about clues and how to enter.

Thank you all so much for your too nice comments and so appreciate the time you took to have a peek, and be the peeper that I know you are!

You may have just arrived from Wicked Blogger Kapree and are now here at Shoni/Crafty Inknik.  The next fabulous blog is Altered Pages.

This project will also be entered into the Challenge #11 - Anything Goes over at the blog A Step In The Dark.

The project I have today is an altered yo-yo.  The kids have carnivals at school and so I have collected some cute Halloween toys.  Now, we all know that cute is not quite the style I am going for this time of year, or anytime of year come to think of it!  So had to alter this sweet pumpkin yo-yo to an evil pumpkin yo-yo.

Rockin' the Cradle w/ these Deets

Image is from Smeared Ink called Ghoulipop.  This image was a freebie for one of the days in last years Smudgefest.
Images was printed out 4 times and fussy cut.
2 images were colored in with Aqua Painter, inks and markers.

Eyes are medium sized Pearl Jewels gone over with Red Sharpie.
Finished images were then adhered to yo-yo with Red Sticky Strip and gone over with Crystal Effects.

Yo-yo edges were covered with White Gesso and let dry.
Washi Tape around to help give some color.
'halloween' saying is a stamp from Smeared Ink rubber set called Creepy Lil' Grumpies (Aug 2013).  You can find more rubber stamp sets in the Rubber Club Past Offerings.
Saying was stamped with Archival Ink Black around edges on both sides of yo-yo.
Crystal Effects also around and on each sides.

Black Twine for string.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! (SU!) unless otherwise noted.

Blog Hop Roll

Shoni aka Crafty Inknik - YOU ARE HERE

Ike
Lisa

I have made a little Love Note Notebook for today's entry.  I would have loved this in my teen angst years...okay who am I kidding, I love it NOW!  Nothing like jotting my husbands' demise or quick notes down on some bloody hearts.  And the best thing is that I can always print out more paper when I run out!  Enjoy today's hop and I so appreciate your kind, funny, and wonderful comments.

My second project is a hang, Clutching Love, I have done for Ike's World Challenges Day 2 of the Hop.  I just love her hand images, which of course can be found at Ike's Art.   More details about this project below.

Murderous Thoughts and Unsavory Deets

Love Note Notebook

Heart front and back covers are from The Octopode Factory.  Image is from a set called Edgar Allen Poe.
Image is printed onto Whisper White card stock.  Markers and inks with Aqua Painter to color in.  I spritzed the marker areas with water and let run to give the bleeding look.
Used Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger over bottom 3/4's of heart.  I wanted to leave the top clean to make it look like the top part of heart was being squeezed, so no cracks.

Paper is from a Smeared Ink digital set called Poe Boy.  I did alter it a bit with my Picasso program to make it just a tad lighter so that I could write on it.
I printed out on both sides of copy paper.
Cut out heart shape and used Crop-a-dile to make circle punches to hold my office rings.
Distressed edges and inked with Cherry Cobbler to make edges of pages look bloody.  Spritzed with water to make inked edges bleed and more crumply.

Backsides of covers is another digital paper from Poe Boy.
Printed onto copy paper and adhered to back of covers.

Crop-a-dile for punched holes on covers.
Linen Thread for wrap around hearts on covers.
Marker on thread to make bloody.

Clutching Love Hang

This was an evolving piece that I was even surprised at how it ended up.

HANDS
Hands are from Ike's Art, called I Want You.  I printed out twice, then flipped the image and printed out again.
Inks, markers, and Aqua Painter to color hands.  Fussy cut and adhered the pairs together.
Since the fad is to color one fingernail a different color, I used Black Ranger Accents on the pointer fingers.  Then Cherry Cobbler to color in the rest of nails then added Crystal Effects for shine and dimension.
Netting background stamp (SU!) over all sides of hands to give some more texture.

HEART CENTER
I cut out two hearts from Cherry Cobber cardstock.  Smushed and crumpled, inked and sponged.  Tore the top heart in the center and added designer paper from stash in tear.
Layered back heart, hands, Sweater Trim Ribbon, and top heart.  All adhered with Sticky Strip.
Added Crystal Effects to tear in heart for blood drips.

HANGING HEARTS
Hanging hearts are fussy cut hands from another Ike's Art image, Face On.    When I first saw this image I immediately saw the hands and how they could make a bone shaped heart.
The image was printed out as big as I could two times.
Hands were fussy cut and adhered together.
A small heart punch was used with the extra scrap paper, same as in main heart, and dental floss to hang from center of bone hands heart.
I tried to make Crystal Effects blood drips with re-inkers, but used too much re-inker.  So just smeared what I had randomly on bone hands. (Shown in above picture on silicone sheet.)
Did make super small hand drawn hearts in between open areas of images with fine tip black Sharpie.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

31 DOH - Day 2 and Haunted Design House Challenge #177

Well hello and welcome back to Day 2 of 31 Days of Halloween, held by Smeared Ink.
You should have just left Roni and are now at Shoni aka Crafty Inknik's Blog.
The Wicked Blogger list is to the left under my info.
Up next is Jenn.

I will be entering this little jar of sweets to the Haunted Design House challenge blog as well.
"You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Hallowe'en
based art piece that is dimensional in some way.
Now foam pop dots are fine, but we are really hoping
to see you guys come up with some real dimension."

My husband hates Peeps.  So now that you can pretty much find them year round, I find every way possible to buy them.
This canning jar fits 3 Ghost Peeps in perfectly.
Lots of dimension and layers.  And in the second picture you can even see some of the Dimensional pop dots, "which are fine".  heheeee.

Sugary Deets
Circle and Scallop punches used for lid topper with three different DP's.
Ribbon is Stampin' Up! (retired).
Saying is from Scaredy Cat stamp set, Stampin' Up! (retired), and is stamped in Basic Black ink.
Brad is Silver 3/8" Glimmer Brad, SU! (current)
Washi Tape, skellie, and spider are from stash.
Rub on strip over washi on bottom of jar.
I did use a black Sharpie on skellie and eyes do have Crystal Effects on them.

CIP - Crafty Inknik Prize!!
Don't forget to post today for the prize that was offered yesterday.
Sorry, if you did not comment AND leave your favorite Halloween movie yesterday you are out of the running for the candle.  But don't worry, I'll be offering more later.
