Smudgefest 2014 Day 2 & Oh!TH! August

See what Smudgefest 2014 is all about here starting with Day 1.
Today's Day 2 Challenge is Terrifying Tuesday - Showcase a project using your favorite scarey image.

I have chosen the head from a Smeared Ink digi set called Gross Anatomy.  I am showcasing a book/notebook that was also inspired from the Oh! The Horror! Challenge for the month of August at the Smeared and Smudged Forum.

The challenge has you create a project inspired from a movie, which is World War Z.  The whole world is affected and the main character must infect himself with the zombie disease in order to save the last of the human population.  This movie was also based off a great novel by Max Brooks.

This is a notebook for charting the disease and how it is taking control of the human body.  See the pulsing infected veins and the last bit of humanity in the eye?  Lets hope all the books being written and science can save us from a Zombie Apocalypse!

Book Cover
Front and back covers are 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" pieces of cardboard from the SU! Designer Packs of paper that they place in there.
Each side is covered with Typeset Designer Paper (SU!) cut to the same size.
Designer papers were sponged and stamped.
Stamps used were from SU! sets called The Open Sea and Backgrounds Rule.
Stamps from Smeared Ink are from a set in the Rubber Club Past Offerings called Inky Dreams (Oct 2013).

Book Pages
Pages are Smeared Ink Digital Papers from a set called Cranium.  I changed the colors on each and printed out on front and back of copy paper.
Pages were cut to 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" to fit just inside of book covers.
Book contains 12 pages.

Book was lined up and a Crop-a-dile used to make holes to hold pages together.
Brads and arrow from retired SU! called Game Spinners.
Binding on book is backside of Typeset Designer Paper, which is inked.
Sticky Strip and Tombow glue to hold binding in place and keep brads from getting loose.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
