Day 7 - 31 Days

DAY 7 - 31 DAY OF HALLOWEEN 2014
You may have just arrived from Wicked Blogger Kapree and are now here at Shoni / Crafty Inknik.  The next creative blog is Altered Pages.

Don't forget that you can win daily prizes by going through the Wicked Bloggers (on <----- left side) and find a different hidden image each day on different blogs.  Click HERE to find about clues and how to enter.

Found a creep-licious tute on GOOGLE while looking for fun ideas for 31 Days.  This is great because you can reused old jars and only requires laminate paper, water (or not), and food coloring.

Of course there must be something stamped for our projects and had to get the hands a bit messy.  But when making preserved heads, that's bound to happen.

Can full of Pickled Details

Started by washing jars.  Used both glass and plastic.

Googled "face map" and found two I liked.  Printed onto copy paper.
Trimmed to height of each jar and then used laminate sheets on both sides.

Put into jars, adjusted bottoms to fold under and added doll hair to glass jar.
Filled with water and green food coloring.
Lids were both gone over with Black Gesso.  Lid on glass with doily I got impatient and so got black Gesso all over doily.  An added bonus I say!
Plastic lid has Copper Inka Gold Rub on it.

Glass Jar Lables
Back label is White Clay (SU!) stamped with stamp from Smeared Ink set called Morte (June 2013).
Gone over with to different inks.
Black Sharpie for words.

Top label is a doily stamped with stamp from Open Sea (SU!) and ink.
Eye sticker from stash in center.

Plastic Jar Labels
Back labels are stickers, die letter, and gelli plate made paper stamped with stamp from Open Sea (SU!).
Words written with fine tip black Sharpie.
Top label is gelli plate made paper (with acrylic paints) and same stamp as above.
1 3/4" circle punch used.
Rotary stamp  with word "done" used with black ink.
Red Sharpie for check mark.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! (SU!) unless otherwise noted.
