Day 16 - 31 Days, LOC #49, and S&SOctO!TH!

Wicked Blogger's are at it again for Day 16 of 31 Days of Halloween.  Can't believe it is already half over.  Thanks everyone for sticking it out with us.

The Wicked Blogger Roll is on the left side bar <-------
Scavenger hunt rules and guidelines can be found HERE for 31 Days of Halloween.

The project I have for you today will also be entered into Left Of Center Creative Challenges and Smeared and Smudged challenges.
LOC - #49 - Alter Something
Oh! The Horror! - Sleepy Hollow (insp. by movie/poster)

I was watching Sleepy Hollow (1999) last night and inspiration struck.  I love Burton's use of the gray/black color scheme in this movie.  Then, of course, all the heads that disappear.  I thought about adding bits of red, but for once held myself back, and happy I did.

I have altered a dry erase/magnet board to turn it into only a magnet board.  If any headless person(s) are looking for some skellie heads this Halloween, come on over, I've got a few!

BEFORE

AFTER

Dig, Dig, Dig, for the Deets

Started my altering by using brush and Black Gesso over entire board, which measures 13" x 13"...It was meant to be!

Once board was dry, I found an old cardboard skellie head stencil that I had made awhile ago.
I did have to cut out the bottom to create the teeth.  Use the extra piece for a little handle which was taped down.

Found my long lost glow in the dark paint, called GloAway (cute name!) and with brush put it onto stencil.
Pushed onto board 9x in different directions.  Let dry.

Next, stamping commenced!  Used set created by Rick St. Dennis for Smeared Ink Rubber Club called Morte (June 2013).
Skellie background stamp used as border and stamped with Silver Encore Ink.
Two heads w/ bone image was stamped randomly with Black Archival Ink.

Found 2 magnet clips and glued hand and foot to each.  Pieces are from stash.

Had a bracelet with skelli heads which I took apart.  Heads were adhered with large glue dot to magnet circles.
Thought it would be killer to have the skellie eyes glow in the dark, so put a dab of the GloAway in all the eyes.

31 DOH - Day 16

Half way through and still having a ball!  I hope you are as well.  Day 16 and all is well!

If you left a comment for the Wolf page, I thank you, AND that was NOT Day 15.  Day 15 was the post before that.

You may have just came from Roni and are now at Shoni aka Crafty Inknik's Blog.  The Wicked Blogger list is to the left under my info. Next is Jenn.  If you need more info about this awesome event hosted by Smeared Ink and the Smeared and Smudged Forum, or to find out who the daily winners are click HERE, also Terra's Blog.  She is the first one on the Wicked Blogger List located to your left.

This project is a 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" Faux Book Box.  There is just under an inch in depth inside the box.  I am not sure yet what I want to put in the Teller's box, but I have no doubt it will be full.  The Teller is one who can see beyond, and she does have that 3rd eye!  Lots of fun going through the stash to decorate the top.

Non Misty Deets
Image is from a set called Whimsical Circus Set, from The Octopode Factory.  I printed Teller out on copy paper, colored with inks and Blender Pen, and fussy cut.  Crystal Effects was added to eyes and buttons.  Also to hold on the clear stone over the 'third' eye.  Gold Stickles on her earrings.

Stampin' Up! Pearl (border of box) and Rhinestone (randomly around Teller) Jewels.  All other items, embellishments, stickers and brads are from stash.

DP is from the Rusty Pickle called Davy Jones.
A small piece of Vellum paper over DP on front.

Box is from Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock (SU!)
All materials used are Stampin' Up! and are current unless otherwise noted.
