Smeared and Smudged Monthly Member Blog Hop, SI Weekly DT, & ASiD #10

Today members of the Smeared and Smudged Forum have joined up for this months Member Blog Hop.  For September, the theme was "I WISH".  We were to interpret this any way we wished and keeping with the Smeared Ink rules, the project must be stamped somewhere.

Shoni- Crafty Inknik - YOU ARE HERE

Please be sure to leave comments on each of the members blog to let them know that their hard work is appreciated.  Thanks and on with the Blog Hop!

I have been watching True Blood like a mad woman trying to catch up before my HBO channels go away.  I thought it very clever when the vamps cry, they cry blood.  I have altered a little box into a shrine for this poor vamp girl who only wishes to be human again.

Hard to see but 'WISH' is written on the left and right side of the eye center on eyeball.
This picture was taken with the light fully on my shrine so that you can see everything.
The little candle in the shrine is on and in the next picture will show you the lit inside.

IMAGES/STAMPS
The  Smeared Ink images I have used are both from digital sets called Eyes in The Dark (wings) and Broken and Bleeding (vamp girl).

The wings are spritzed with Lemon Grass and Squeezed Orange Dylusion Spray Inks.

Girl is colored in with watercolor pencils.
Fussy cut and adhered to inside.
Crystal Effects over eyes and bloody tears.
Illuminate Smooch Pearlized Ink over face.

BOX
Outside
Box was from stash.  Front was cut out.
Adhered random sizes of plastic eyes on each side.
Pearl jewels on each side of cut front.
Box outside was then covered with Black Gesso and let dry.
Next I used Cut Grass Dylusion Spray Ink on eyes to get color where I missed with Gesso.
Green Yellow and Lava Red Inka Gold Metallic Rubs were both used randomly over outside.

Inside
Entire inside covered with Gold Acrylic paint.
Top and sides are from the digital paper set called Cranium.
Electric light from stash, covered with Gold Acrylic paint and written on with black Sharpie.

SKELLIE
Head from stash.
Used Burnt Umber Acrylic Paint randomly over head.  Also bit of the Lava Red Metallic Rub here and there.
Pearl Jewels with black Sharpie on them for eye centers.
Crystal Effects dried into shape of bloody tear and colored in with Blendabilites on eye.

Body, Arms, Legs, Spine/head
All from dollar store skellie.
Broke apart and used.
Body and arms covered with Gold Acrylic paint and Metallic Rubs.
Legs sprayed with Krylon  Looking Glass paint.
Spine/head random gone over with Blendablility marker.  Black Sharpie on eyes.

Eyeball from stash.
'WISH' written on each side of eye with fine tip Black Sharpie.

Other Bits
Crystal Effects dried into tear shapes then colored in along bottom edge of box front.
Heart is made with White Simply Pressed Clay into a mold.
Colored in with Blendabilities and gone over with Crystal Effects and Lava Red Metallic Rub.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

This project is also my Weekly Smeared Ink Design Team project since only Smeared Ink Stamps and digital Papers were used.
I am also entering this over at A Step In the Dark challenge blog.  Their Challenge #10 is Anything Goes.

Snoozin' on the Deets

Image from the Smeared Ink digital set Eyes In The Dark, was printed out 8 times.
This was Technique #7 - Fussy Cut Layering found in the Smeared and Smudged Forum in the new Mixed Media Group.
Each image was colored in with inks and Blender Pen.
Then each image was fussy cut and with each layer, a section of the image was cut off, this achieves the great dimension and layering.
I used dimensionals to adhere each layer.
Versa Marker Pen around cut layer edges.  Gold Embossing Powder over marked areas and a heat gun to set.
Once all put together, Crystal Effects was used over entire owl and set aside to dry.

I used the 1/2" Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape from Stampin' Up! (2014 Occasions Catalog) to cover wooden clothes pin and the entire back of owl once it was dried.
Sticky Strip to adhere owl to cloths pin.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

Smeared Ink's December Blog Hop

DECEMBER MEMBER BLOG HOP-
ANYTHING GOES

The holidays are upon us and yet the 12 of us were able to squeeze in this hop.  Crazy, insane, or just too much time on our hands??  Who knows, but what I do know is that there will be some wonderfully creative projects for your viewing pleasure.  Please leave a comment if you can, I know I appreciate your thoughts as do others.

I have the list of Hop Members below if you like to jump around, or are lost.  You should have arrived from Evil Edna's blog.  You are now at Shoni's aka Crafty Inknik.  Next up is Maureen.  Have fun and enjoy.

The theme for the Blog Hop was Anything Goes, so here we go....
I have been making/sewing these wonderful hand bags for friends and family.  I think I have about 7 done so far.  This was my first ever bag that I made and just love it.  I had a flower that was suppose to go on but...when I saw the set of images, Eyes in the Dark, from Smeared Ink, I had to use the Great Horned Owl.

Image was printed out on Neena Paper.
Colored in with markers and Blender Pen.
Gold Marker for eyes.
Crystal Effects over entire image.
Fussy cut and then adhered to a pin.
Crumb and Early Espresso Tulle ribbon (retired SU!) behind and pinned.
All materials used are Stampin' Up! and are current unless otherwise noted.
