Smudgy Antics - Don't Be A Grump...

What a great turn out last month to get the Smudgy Antics blog back up and running.  So many fab projects and we hope to see you all again this month.

A new year and a new month for you to enter your wonderful projects into Smudgy Antics Anything Goes Challenge.  A Smeared Ink image, either digital or stamped must be used in your project, and link to our challenge are a sure way to win some great prizes.  Please read the Rules to make sure you are eligible.

Check out Smudgy Antics daily for inspiration from each of the Smeared Ink Design Team.  I have today for inspiration and have a set of four 3"x 3" cards using the digital set Li'l Grumpies and the rubber stamp set Grumpies Occasions.

FRONTS

BACKS

Grumpie Deets
Each 3" x 3" card background was with Acrylic paints and the homemade gelli plate.  Various tools and stencils used to make patterns.

Grumpies were printed onto Whisper White card stock and colored in with Blendabilities.  They also have Crystal Effects over main images, were fussy cut, and adhered onto card fronts.

Sayings are stamped in Black Archival Ink:
"you're old."
"get better. now."
"take a load off."
"relax."

Rock N' Rolla March Smeared and Smudged Challenge

Finished up a scrapbook page for the Rock N' Rolla March Challenge over at the Smeared and Smudged Forum

One last weekend to get those projects done!  I have done pretty well this month and still can not believe that March is almost over.

The video inspiration for this month is Oasis - All Around the World.  There are so many wonderful visuals in this one video it was hard to choose.  So I took what lasted with me.

Have a crafty weekend everyone!

Worldly Deets

Page base, water, and land are designer papers from sets Soho Subway and Big Top (retired).

Clouds are cut from scrap paper and school paper.

All other paper is from random magazines.

Paper under eye is a sewing pattern, scrunched.

Stars are stamped and from set called Seeing Stars.

Fish is from Occasions Grumpies (Sept 2013), a Past Offering from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club set.  Pillars are also Smeared Ink Rubber Club from set Dedicated to Art (Dec 2013).

Gold is Encore ink and tried to use a stencil, but did not come out very well.

Moon is made from White Simply Pressed Clay.  Aqua Painter and markers to color.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

Weekly Smeared Ink DT Project

Fat Tuesday and what better way than to celebrate this day than with a new Art Journal!  I am using watercolor paper as my base for each page.

My art journal page for my Weekly Smeared Ink Design Team project uses a stamp I just got from the set Danse Macabre (January 2014) and a partial saying from the stamp set Occasions Grumpies (September 2013). Both sets I received from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club.

Since I have only used Smeared Ink stamps I am also going to put this page in the Smudgy Antics Anything Goes Challenge found in the Challenger Group on the Smeared and Smudged Forum for this month.  Get over to the Smeared and Smudged Forum and check out the challenges, groups, and talented people.

I was also inspired by a wonderful ground which can be found at the Smeared and Smudged Forum called Art Journal Everyday.  This fab group has wonderful Design Team Members that give you prompts and techniques to help you create fun new pages for your art journal.

I have used Technique #15, done by Titbelsoeur, for this/these pages which I am planning on turning into a journal.  I just love this technique!!  Live it up tonight and get crafty!

Drinks N' Deets

I stamped my image from Danse Macabre Smeared Ink Rubber Club set onto scrap paper.  Fussy cut.
Looked in some magazines until I saw this page w/ lots on it.  Tried a few pictures then saw the hat shape and the bottle.
Used the two pictures and my fussy cut guy to make my template.  I found an old piece of plastic in my stash and used a black Sharpie to make outlines.
Fussy cut my drawn shape on the plastic.

Background is use of bubble wrap, Dylusion Spray Inks, templates, and random texture pieces I could find.

Saying is "get lit" from the original saying "let's get lit for the holidays" from the Occasions Grumpies stamp set, Smeared Ink Rubber Club.  I stamped in Early Espresso ink inside image on left and around image on the right.

Skelli was re-stamped with Cajun Craze ink on right side.
I used a gold marker to outline each dancing guy.
Spritzed Gold Smooch (retired SU!) over entire page.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
