Smeard and Smudged Forum Very Sketchy Challenge - Oct

I got my Very Sketchy Card up on the 31st, but did not get the post done until today.
The Smeared and Smudged Forum has some new challenges up for November, woo hoo!
Here's the sketch we are to use:

My card and entry:

Organic Details
Image is from Rick St. Dennis called Buddy and His Pet Plant.
Image is printed onto Neena paper and colored in with Copics'.  I fussy cut and left the white edging to help pop a little from background.
Small circle clear dimension (for making brads) on eye of plant, from stash.
Background is from a Smeared Ink Digital Paper Pack called Vintage Grunge.  Print was printed onto Whisper White card stock.  I used Strawberry Slush ink pad directly onto card stock for the color.
Saying is from the Carnies Digital Set and originally says 'Friends Forever'.  I changed the color and printed out onto copy paper.  Cut and adhered to front of card with Washi tape.
Midnight Muse Dahlias for the three flowers.
1/2" circle punch for under each flower punched from extra cs of back ground.
All materials used are Stampin' Up! and are current unless otherwise noted.

Day #15 of the 31 Days of Halloween event.  You should have just seen Roni's awesome creation.  You are now at Shoni aka Crafty Inknik's blog.  Please refer to the Wicked Blogger list, found on the left side if you forget where you are at.  Up next is Jenn's.

You can also click HERE to start at the beginning, Terra's blog, and find out who the lucky winners are each day for the Hidden Object.  Not sure on the deets, keep scrolling down Terra's blog to find out all the rules regulations within each post.

I am also placing this page in the Smeared and Smudged Forum Challenge, Very Sketchy.  To the left is the scrapbook page sketch that you are to follow as your guideline.

I love this new paper Smeared Ink is offering...sooo cool and altered it a bit with my Picasso tools.  The stamp is from a past Smeared Ink Rubber Club offering.  That pet totally creeps me out.  I found the quote and it fit just too perfect.  I think I may print off some black an white pictures of my husband and stick them all over the web.  Since this month is all about the chills and thrills I give you both!

A Wicked Knot of Details
Background is from Caught In My Web Background Paper Pack, 7 pages for $4.50!!  I altered with my Picasso tools and printed out onto copy paper.

Main image and "Hello My Pet" saying from the set Femdom, January 2013, past Smeared Ink Rubber Club offering.

"good boy" is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Everyday Flexible Phrases.  Both sayings were stamped in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

Main image was stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.  Wrap on her arm colored with marker.

Spiders and dripping blood punches, I believe are both Martha Stewart.  White Chalk marker used to make hour glass on spiders, then colored over with marker.

Delicate Lace Tape on lower left corner of page and on right side of main image matte.

Saying "Escape from the black widow spider is a miracle as great as art.  What a web she can weave slowly drawing you to her she'll embrace you then when she's satisfied she'll kill you still in her embrace and suck the blood from you."  Charles Bukowski, Love is a Dog from Hell.  Printed onto copy paper in red and black.  Cut and adhered.

Card stock used is Basic Black, Real Red, and Whisper White.
All materials used are Stampin' Up! and are current unless otherwise noted.

You know what the end of the month looks like and so here we go with another project in which I am entering in two challenges - Smeared and Smudged Forum and Left of Center.

This is the card sketch for the Very Sketchy challenge on the Smeared and Smudged Forum.  Love that tree in the front!

The card I have created today meets the sketch and I have used textures to help in the background, so no DP.

Stucco and template for middle piece on Early Espresso card stock.
Linen Twine and Early Espresso Candy Dots for embellishments.

I have had these projects done for a while but am finally getting a chance to get them done.  Did July seem to fly by for anyone else?  Okay on to the challenges...

Smeared and Smudged Forum Very Sketchy Card Challenge.

To the left are this month's sketches for each challenge.

Smeared and Smudged Forum Very Sketchy Scrapbook Challenge

I was not sure at first what I wanted to do, but ended up really liking what I came up with.

Here are my take on the sketches:

Card Sketch Deets

Stamps
Main skull image - Smeared Ink Rubber Club, Morte by Rick St. Dennis
Sentiment - Stampin' Up! set called Remembering Your Birthday
Barb wire - Smeared Ink Rubber Club, Urban Decay
Green hard to see background image skulls - Smeared Ink Rubber Club, Morte by Rick St. Dennis
Word background - Stampin' Up! background stamp, Dictionary

Main image was stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed with Smoky Slate Embossing Powder.  I sponged and stamped background first.

I used the negative of a heart framelit over main image and sponged and inked with darker colors.

Barb wire and sentiment stamped with Basic Black ink.  Skull background with Gumball Green ink.  Dictionary background stamped in Perfect Plum ink.

Red marker to high light heart.

Ribbon is from unknown.

Scrapbook Sketch Deets

A 6" x 6" page on Sahara Sand and Vellum card stock.

I used the set Glorious Grunge, Stampin' Up!, to stamp background on entire page.

Heart Framelits for the cut out hearts.

Washi tape along the bottom, wood buttons, and smushed bottle caps for accessories.

Crystal Effects (of course!) and Real Red Marker also used.

Note:  All card stock, inks, and accessories are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

Smeared Ink Forum - Sketchy Scrapbook June

Been a little obsessed with that American Horror Story Season 2, Asylum.  All those creepy images, a great story, aliens, a mad doctor, the list goes on!  Though you know by now my favorite part...Bloody Face.

The sketch to the left is the Scrapbook Sketch for this month's challenge over at the Smeared Ink Forum.  Join and play along.

I have also challenged myself this month to have a "Mask" in each of the challenges I enter at the Forum this month.  It was hard!  But I did get great use of those stamps that have not been used for awhile.

I rotated my page and deets below.
The SKINny
Page measures 12" x 12" and is on Whisper White card stock (cs).  I was making some ice tea this morning and was about to throw away the tea bags when inspiration struck.  Ran back to my desk grabbed some cs and used tea bags to make background.

I added Masking Tape in corners then sponged with ink.

Hands and finger smears were stamped with my Smeared Ink Rubber Club set, Prints.
Hard to see but grid lines also stamped in each tape corner, over strip under picture, and around edges of the Cajun Craze cs under picture.  Stamp from Stampin' Up! called Off the Grid.

For the strip under picture, I used the red bag that onions come in from the grocery store.  Laid it on my cs, then sponged Soft Suede ink and got the cool pattern.

Used Cajun Craze Ink for sploches and smears on hands/finger smears.  Sponged ink on all sides of cs.

For my saying, I dyed some White Bakers Twine.  Formed words and used Crystal Effects to hold words together.  When dried, I place on page.
Stitching on left side of photo is Natural Hemp Twine. Picture is of my son who love running around the house w/ that mask on.  Hummm....hope it just means he likes scaring his older brothers!

All product is Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.  Please click on pics for larger images.

Naughty, Naughty, Naughty

I had a blast making this 8" x 8" scrapbook page.  Thank You Smeared and Smudged for May's Very Sketchy Challenge.  I printed out this scrapbook sketch because I really wanted to make a page.  I have been looking at it every day with no ideas.
Then my Rubber Club stamps showed up and what do you know??  Yup, IDEA!!  For some reason black and white has been a creative element this month for me.  Another great blog, Left of Center, has a Black & Red Challenge going on right now.  I have melded the two challenges and so will be posting in both challenges.
Get over to these challenges, see some wonderful projects, and join in...or I may have get the whip out!

Medicated

Are you feeling a little sketchy today?  Woke up from too much Cinco de Mayo fun with that "leave me alone" attitude?

Well, today's project may help you.  This card sketch is from this month's challenge from the Smeared Ink Forum.

Find that straight jacket, pad up those walls, and ask to be MEDICATED.

 A SHOT OF DETAILS

All supplies, paper, and card stock are from Stampin' Up!

Main image stamp is from Queen Kat Design Stamp Co. called Syd, by Steven Benson.  I used a Blender pen and inks to color him in.  Eyes have Crystal Effects on them to help pop them out some.

Syd and sayings are stamped in Black Staze On ink.
Bla Bla Bla stamp is from Stampotique by Jill Penny.

Inside saying is from Ranger in a set called Say It How It Is.

For the ink blots, I did an old technique.  Place a drop of re-inker on your card stock.  Take a straw and blow ink.  This gives a great all your own design.

I used an Embossing Folder called Chevron and inked the raised or embossed areas with Smoky Slate ink.  Then stamped saying.

Chevron Embossing Folder is also used on a  3/4" inch of designer paper which goes down the center of card front.

Inside card I used a spritz mixture of Basic Black re-inker, alcohol, and Vanilla Smooch Shimmer Spritz.

unsupervised

Haaahahaa, can you tell it is the end of the month???  This is the time when all projects need to be fine tuned and "turned in" to the respective challenges.  This month has flown by and again, I am so happy I have found this fun new community of super creative people.  I have been floored by what they can come up with and the talent they all have.  Alright, done with the mush and butt kissing.

This project is a fun 5" x 7" card.  All supplies are from Stampin' Up! except for the stamped images.  I am entering this in a Challenge called Very Sketchy, from Smeared and Smudged.   The sketch to the left is the card sketch that is featured this month.

I have been itchin' to use a set called Monster Mash from Dylusions.  I also used the saying from a set called Say It How It Is, Dylusions.

All images were stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with Black Embossing Powder.

This saying cracked me up and had to make it look like this little guy escaped his container.  I used a blender pen, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, and Pumpkin Pie ink pads to color in critter.

I cut all images and layered to give more character to this critter.

I used Crystal Effects on each cut image with a tad bit of glitter to help images stand out from the busy background.

I made the diagonal lines from 4 different kinds of Designer Paper (Polka Dot Parade, International
Bazaar, and Sycamore Street).  I cut each into 1" strips then in smaller rectangles.  I adhered to center of 1 1/8" strip of Basic Black card stock.

Ribbon is More Mustard 1/2" Scalloped Dot.
Dimensionals were used to raise the top images on critter and the saying strips.
Silver Marker on the base of container and on highlights on glass top.
