S&S Oh! The Horror! Sept Challenge

My goal was to get all the Smeared and Smudged Monthly Challenges done this month and as of today I am 2 away!

I have created an Art Journal page for the Oh! The Horror! September Challenge.  This month's feature is a movie called THE MAID.  Check out the Smeared and Smudge Forum to find out more about it!

I did watch the movie and was inspired by the bits of ash, butterflies, ghosts, and the movie poster.

Shhhhh....Secrets and Details

Base of page was leftover inks from gelli plate.
Heads from Daniel Torrente are stamped all over the background with Black Memento ink.
Butterflies from set Papillion Potpourri, also stamped randomly on page with same ink.  Some of these were colored in with markers.
Black Sharpie used randomly on butterflies.

Image is from Ike's Art called Vamp.
Image was colored in with Blendabilites, Aqua Painter and inks.
Gold Acrylic Paint on eye, and lots of it to give dimension.
Edges were torn and images was then adhered to page.

Went over entire page with Gold Acrylic paint and paintbrush.

The 'ash' was created by spraying white tissue paper with homemade black spritz (black ink and alcohol) and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.
It was cut up into small pieces and adhered to page.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! (SU!) unless otherwise noted.

Hello Darko - Smeared and Smudged Ink

This card was created for inspiration for the challenge over at the Smeared and Smudged Forum, hosted by me this month.  Any bunny that is fabulously creepy is all the more better for me.  This digital stamp, Darko, is from Smeared Ink and I knew that I wanted to make something with him for the challenge.

Thank you again Smeared Ink for giving me this opportunity and I hope that these next two projects keep you all motivated to get creative.

DE-TAILS
What better way to do a Mask Challenge by using the technique of Masking.
I printed Darko out so that he fit 4 times on one sheet of copy paper.  I cut out two of him for masking purposes and saved one for a "just in case".
I colored with a Blender Pen and Stampin' Up! (SU!) inks for all images.

The two cats, tree, and head background are all Daniel Torrente from Stampotique Originals.
Cat in hands - Puss Puss, stamped with Black Staze On
Cat on ground - Kitty, stamped with Black Staze On
Tree - Tree, stamped with Black Staze On
Background - Heads, stamped with Soft Sky ink (SU!)
Hello - random "Happy Halloween" rubber stamp, stamped with Black Staze On

Crystal Effects on main image mask, saying, and on leaves.

Sponges around all edges and card is mounted on Basic Black card stock (SU!).

I tried to make the skull in the "O" look like a bunny skull and used a fine tip Black Sharpie.

Class Of 2026

Getting some projects done for the Smeared Ink Forum challenges.  This challenge is called Junk Funk where you use a common material in the house to make a creative something.  This month's challenge was to use Index Cards.

I ended up making a 12" x 12" scrapbook page for my son, who had his pre-school graduation last week.

Congrats Class Of 2026!

DETAILS

I made the page out of the Index cards, then trimmed to 12" x 12".

I used a wheel, called Measuring Stick, with Cherry Cobbler ink on Index Cards for the frame.

Background inside of frame is a stamp from Stampotique Originals by Daniel Torrente called Heads.  Black Staze On is the ink.

I cut out the saying from the little flyer that was on an invitation to the graduation and used some Washi take to hold pictures and saying in place.

All inks and accessories are from Stampin' Up!
