Day 12-31 Days and AJ S&S Challenge

Day 12 of 31 Days of Halloween

You may have just arrived from Day 12 from the Wicked Blogger Kapree and are now here at Shoni/Crafty Inknik.  The next fabulous blog is Altered Pages.

Woo hoo, new Art Journal Challenge over at the Smeared and Smudged Forum.  This month: Anything Goes.  So, had to join!  My Day of the Dead AJ page for today:

Viva La Deets:

Page was made with home made gelli plate, wall paper tape, texture tools, and acrylic paints.
When dry, pulled off tape.  

Center image is made with a stencil from The Crafters Workshop (.com).  Sponged in with Black Archival Ink.

Sugar skull stamp is from Inkadinkado set called Petite Skeketons.  Stamp was inked with a purple ink and randomly stamped around main image.

Leaves are stamped with Meadow Moss ink and are from set called Summer Silhouettes.
Silver marker doodles randomly all over page.

Saying was written in marker.  Gone over again with Silver Marker.
Saying:
Al diablo la muerte, mientras la vida nos dure. 
To hell with death while we're still alive.

Freaky Freebie Sept & ASiD #9 Challenges

It's the beginning of September and so many wonderful new fun challenges out in cyber world going on right now.  This card will be entered into two challenges today.  Images is called Woodcut Skull and is this month's Freaky Freebie offered over at the Smeared and Smudged Forum.

Card is also going to be entered into the current A Step In The Dark challenge which ends today.  Challenge #9 - Anything Goes and or Steampunk.  So if you have a project that fits this challenge...get it in quick!

Eyeballin' the Deets

Freebie image was printed out onto Whisper White card stock in 3 different sizes.
Used Exacto knife to cut out left eye.
Fussy cut the skull that was slightly smaller.
Colored in all three printed images with Blendabilites.
Adhered smallest printed image in the left eye.
Crystal Effects on teeth, and eyes.
Large eyeball is fussy cut and raised with dimensional.

Went over all dots on printed image with Silver marker.
Silver Dazzling Details used on flowers.

Background was made with stamp from Smeared Ink called Candy Is Dandy (July 2014), which can be seen in the Rubber Club Past Offerings.
Randomly used Silver marker to make dots on background.
Sponged with ink on all edges.

Foil placed in Square Lattice Embossing Folder (retired SU!) and then adhered to card base.

Smudgefest 2014 Day 3

Photo Inspiration

Welcome once again to another Smudgefest challenge.  So fun to wake up and wonder what will be created each day for the week long challenge.  Be sure to check out each day and see what the other fabulous entries are.

I had to think on this pic while I had my first cup of coffee.  The colors and patterns were my main inspirations.  Here is my decorated bag featuring a Smeared Ink digital stamp from the set Calaveras.

Bag 'O Sugary Deets

Sugar skull image was printed out two times onto Whisper White card stock.
Flower eyes and on petals on top of skull were colored in on one image.
Entire skull colored in on other image, both done with Blendabilities and markers.
Flowers were fussy cut and adhere to second image with dimensionals.
Finished skull was fussy cut and adhered to background.

Background
Smeared Ink Digital Paper from a set called Creepy Tree.  Colors altered to match the photo.
Sponged a darker purple randomly.
Bright Yellow Acrylic paint on large bubble wrap to make spots.
Circle template, sponge and Old Olive ink for second set of circles.
Sanded background stamp (retired) inked with Cherry Cobbler also on entire background.
Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss card stock for layers.

Bag
White bag, 8" x 10", from Hobby Lobby.
Circle template and Smoky Slate ink sponged on for circles.
Sanded background stamp (retired) inked with Crushed Curry on background.
Vine looking stamp from set called Chalk Lines ink and stamped with Mossy Meadow.
Old Olive sponged around all edges.
Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz over skull on front.

Ribbon is Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin and Silver 1/8" Taffeta.

SI Weekly DT Project and S&S June Freaky Freebie



Today I have a little booklet made from three different sheets of designer paper (retired SU!).
My Smeared Ink Weekly Design Team Project includes an image from the digi set Calaveras, and the upcoming NEW Smeared Ink Rubber Club set called Llorona, which will be offered in July.

Bone-In Deets

The Calaveras image was printed onto copy paper.
Colored in with markers, ink and Aqua Painter.
Once dried, Versa Mark ink over finished image.
Heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.
Fussy cut and adhered onto front of booklet.

Llorona were stamped, then faces cut out, on Whisper White card stock.
Each was colored in with markers, ink and Aqua Painter.
Fussy Cut and adhere to sugar skull with dimensionals.

Pearl Jewels as embellies.
Lost Lagoon 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon to bind booklet.
Crop-a-dile to punch holes.
All materials used are current Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
