Smeared Ink Skull Appreciation Day Blog Hop

It is finally here, the Smeared Ink Appreciation Day Blog Hop!  Hop starts at 9:00am.  I hope you also have a look at Skull -A-Day.  The blog has tons of inspiration and pictures of skulls from the most unexpected places.   But be warned, once you see that first skull in your breakfast cereal, you see them everywhere!

You are half way through the blog you should have just finished drooling over Monique's wonderful project.  Below is my project, the list of all the blogs participating in today's hop, and the details about my project.

A quick shout out to Terra and Tori, owners of Smeared Ink, for gathering this wonderful group of people and organizing this Skull Appreciation Day Blog Hop.

Hopping on...I have labeled today's project Skulls Upon Skulls.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really had a great time creating this and I can not wait to go hopping myself.  Enjoy!

PROJECT DEETS

Base of project is a 12" x 12" Basic Black card stock from Stampin' Up! (SU!).

I used a skull stamp from Inkadinkadoo from the set called Creepy Creatures Cling.  Image was inked with Versa Mark and stamped multiple times on Whisper White card stock (SU!).
Basic Black Embossing Powder was placed over inked images and heat embossed with heat gun.  Picture 1.

Each skull was cut out.  I then placed all the small skulls to make the large skull.  Each skull is adhered with 1/2 of a dimensional (SU!).  I layered to help form the shape better. Picture 2.

When finished with main skull, I used Black Enamel Accents from Ranger. This helped define the eyes, teeth, doodles around main skull, and all accents on each side of main image.  Picture 3 - Close Up.

The last picture I used a flash to show where and how the Enamel Accents was used.
