I had a lot of fun with this project and got to use up some bits and pieces that are some how taking over more and more bins. Love that when you shake the frame, it jingles and the little light in the lower right corner high lights image. More details below and thanks all for looking!
Believe in the Deets
Frame
You can see a bit under the paint that the original frame was a light blue color.
I used Engine Red Folk Art Acrylic paint first and applied with a brush.
No, I did not wait for it to dry...you know I hate waiting! Added Pure Gold Folk Art Acrylic paint over with a sponge.
I set aside to start drying.
Pulled out all the bits and pieces I wanted to glue down.
Punched out some cog card stock pieces with the Cog Punch from Stampin' Up! (retired).
Large and medium Jewel Rhinestones for a bit of sparkle.
Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details for the red spots/dots randomly around.
Brads, wire, bells, screws, plastic pieces and all other bits from stash.
Light from an old yoyo that the kids broke and I broke more.
Adhered all pieces and set aside to dry.
Smeared Ink Santa Image
Santa from Steampunk Christmas digi set and printed out onto Neena paper.
Colored in with markers and Copics.
Flash in picture took some of the color, but did stipple Marina Mist ink for background.
Gold and Silver marker used on metal images.
Crystal Effects to highlight certain areas.
Saying is a combination of two sayings, "happy birthday." and "lets get lit for the holidays.", from a past Smeared Ink Rubber Club stamp set, Occasions Grumpies (September 2013). Words are stamped with Basic Black ink.
All materials used are Stampin' Up! and are current unless otherwise noted.
Fabulous project you made! =)
